This Depression Era comedy is ranked number 35 on the American Film Institute’s 100 Greatest American Movies of All Times and number 8 on the AFI’s 100 Funniest Movies of All Time. This movie won five Oscars including Best Picture, Best Actor -Clark Gable, Best Actress – Claudette Colbert, Best Director – Frank Capra, and Best Writing, Adaptation – Robert Riskin.
