Today’s movie is Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973). It is the fifth and final of the original PoA series. And in my humble opinion, it is by far the worst.

Today’s movie is Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972). This movie is the fourth in original series and by my rating is 3rd out of the original 5. The mask quality continued to go down and I expected to see apes with plastic Halloween masks with the white elastic string in the back. This movie, in fact, had the lowest budget of any of the original five films.

This movie played heavily on the Civil Rights struggle that was still in full swing at the time of the movie. The movie has a strong anti-slavery message. It was also the most violent of the five movies with about …
